About This Opportunity
Our After School Enrichment program provides a safe, nurturing environment for children ages 5-12 while their parents are at work. As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in supporting homework help, leading creative activities, and being a positive mentor.
What Volunteers Do
- Assist with homework and reading practice
- Lead arts and crafts, games, or STEM activities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentorship
- Help with snack time and recreation
- Be a caring, consistent presence in children's lives
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
We ask for a minimum commitment of one day per week for at least one semester.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Background check required
- Training provided
- Reliable transportation to our facility at 1548 8th St, Des Moines
No Experience Needed
We provide all the training and support you need. Just bring your enthusiasm, patience, and desire to make a difference!
