Get Involved with Whyld Girls

Want to join the Whyld Girls?

The Whyld Girls recruits 6th and 7th grade girls at the start of each program year (September). If you would like to have your youth be a part of our fantastic program, you can download and complete our Enrollment Form, and email the form to our Whyld Girls staff.

Want to volunteer with the Whyld Girls?

There are ways to be a part of the program, where you can have a meaningful impact on the lives of our participants:

Life Coach Program

A Life Coach in our program is paired with a Whyld Girl and works with her throughout the year to provide support and encouragement as she navigates academics and her personal development. Life Coaches can meet weekly or bi-weekly with their assigned Whyld Girl. For eligibility, a Life Coach receives training from Whyld Girls program staff, and must complete a State of Iowa criminal background check and Child Abuse registry screening.

Group Mentor

Group Mentors can volunteer to assist Whyld Girls program staff with middle school programming. Mentors can volunteer for multiple days per week, if available. For eligibility, volunteers must complete a State of Iowa criminal background check and Child Abuse registry screening.
