CFUM serves the River Bend neighborhood, which is one of the most diverse, economically-disadvantaged neighborhoods in Des Moines. With an estimated population of 12,244, 32% of residents in this diverse neighborhood are under the age of 18, and 100% of the students attending Moulton Elementary receive free or reduced priced lunch. The household median income is approximately $25,000 less than that of the State average.
